Hello;

I want to display a custom ribbon when I open a report in print preview mode. The ribbon name is PrintRibbon with the following xml:

<customUI xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2006/01/customui">
<ribbon startFromScratch="true">
<tabs>
<tab id="printMenu" label="PRINT" >
<group id="grpFile" label="Print Menu">
<button idMso = "PrintDialogAccess" size ="large" label ="Quick Print"/>
<button idMso = "PageSetupDialog" size ="large"/>
</group>
</tab>
</tabs>
</ribbon>
</customUI>

I've set the report ribbonname property to PrintRibbon, but it doesn't display the ribbon. I've tested the ribbon with my main form and it works okay.

Can somebody tell me what I did wrong?

Hi

You have to load the report in preview mode.

DoCmd.OpenReport "reportName", acViewPreview

Is your report a pop-up?

Hi,

Yes the report opens popup and print preview mode. I selected popup because my application has a main form that remains opened through out. All other objects must open on top of the main form.
Thanks.

Hi,

I've set the report's popup property to false, and the ribbon works properly. Thanks Avelino and vbaInet for your responses. I'm really grateful.

I didn't get to see your previous reply. You've learnt that ribbons don't appear for pop-up reports or forms because the ribbon behaves differently from commandbars.

Happy to hear you figured it out.
