Customer database design

Hi,

I am required to create a database for a shipping company.

I am having worked with access for about 10 years so I am a bit rusty to say the least.

The user wants to store customers details (name, address, phone number, shipping country), the details of the person that particular customer ships to.

They want to be able to search for customers, add new customers, have no duplicate records (have a message pop up to confirm duplicates) and link the details of the person they ship to, to the customers details in a search and visa versa.

I will be creating 2 tables, 1 for customers and 1 for receiver details.

Please can you provide some advise on a good way to create this database, which has to be 100% basic user friendly for my user.

They have several shipping databases to use,
