Customised Reference number

Just a quick problem i need a solution to.

I just created a database, but i want it to automatically created reference number for example. LAPSS001 n continue creating

any tips pls?

Look at "DemoTest001A2000.mdb",
adapt it as you need.

thanks for the reply..trying to open the database on access 97 it wont open it says unrecognised database format.

any idea?
