Hiya

Anyone know of any free calendars / appointment booking

Im building my database for use by builders, slaters etc all trades, so the use of the calendar is a must.

Some ppl with have 2 or more men on different jobs, so I would like sumthing like -

Use a basic form to add location of the job, and time from, time too and employee displayed aswel as the date

Then to view the calendar, I would click a button on the main page of the dbase, and open the calendar by monthly or weekly view, see the tables with each date, and names & Locations of the jobs.. Double click that field and it brings up the details?

Any ideas

I have a basic appointment book just now, but the date fields arn't clickable and its limited to basic info

Would you like a free copy of the calendar that a programmer made for me in Access?

Ok, I will make a copy and take all my data out and zip it. I will leave my name in the main form and you can change it to what you want after you try it out.

Hiya,

Thanks very much for that, looks good

Will have a play with it later and see if I can find a way to have the data entered by a form rather than trying to remember dates & time for an appointment then add it in manually.. Think this should be possable with the help of some guys here lol

Thanks again

If you will look at the combo box labeled subject you will find a list of the subjects I use. This list you can change to your needs. I then use the list to find all my appointments for that particular subject

Hi Dick

Yeah the subject is really useful, I will change that to something like Quote, Workorder, Emergency Repair etc, very handy

I have noticed tho that sometimes it won't save a new record

Click on the date I want, say 3rd Oct, Select the subject and type what I want, click on Save changes, but it won't save all the time?

Dunno if its just me

That happened to me once or twice when I first received it form the programmer, then it stopped doing it. My wife has a copy on her machine and it did the same thing. It then magically stop. Some times on my wife’s machine but not mine is will not go to the next date. By clicking on the previous date and then going to the next date it clears it up.
Also the save changes is not necessarily needed. The programmer put it in there and then I ask for auto saving on lost focus or some other property. He made the changes and we never bothered to take the button out.

lol ok m8 will keep trying it and see if it goes

I've added a table into the main form now which will display the following fields

FldDate
Employee
CmrName
CmrLocation

I have added this in as a subform at the top of the page, so when I make an appointment using the table, it will link to your FldDate and allow the entry that way..

I just wonder if I could use my own table to make the Calendar (Bold) when an appointment is made? Hmmm More playing around I think

Anyone got ideas lol?
