Hi, brain meltdown so help would be really appreciated !!

I have a form with a single combo box on it which selects different countries.
This form ( frm_countries ) has a subform which displays the data of all the resorts within that country. ( countryid, resortscountryid are linked )

fine and dandy so far....

What i want to do is have 2 text boxes on the mainform, which allow you to enter a new resort name ( & transfer cost )to the country being diplayed.
This would then enter the info into the RESORTS table, resortname, transfercost, resortscountryid

Problem:
The form is based on the countries table, so i cannot bind the textboxes to the data. Even if i did bind them, i would not want to as they would just display the data for the current resort selection. ???
Therefore i presume i need 2 unbound text boxes to enter the data and a button which writes the info to the table.

IS this the best way of doing it.
If it is - how do i do it ??

I'm quite new, but am sure i have achieved greater things than this !! it's doing my head in as i have a complete mental block !!

Many thanks for any help / advice

Phil.

If your subform is linked to the main form by the CountryID, you can add new records to the Resort table by entering data straight into the subform. Access will add the record to the resorts table and set the ResortCountryID to the CountryID on your main form.
