I am fairly new to programming Access but have a MAJOR project I am developing for the US Military Legal System.

Here is one of the many things I am trying to do but not really sure where to start.

DETERMINING PAY:

1st Pull down menu selects Pay Grade from a separate designated refference table and stores the grade info in 'grade' for the current table.

I have a very large table listing all Pay Grades, how many years in service, and the Pay for that grade with that time in service.

What I want to do is, once the Grade has been selected from the first pull-down menu, filter the secone (Pay) pull-down to only show pay for that particular grade.

For example, if E4 is selected as the grade, I only want the various pay options for E4 to show in the Pay menu.

Thanks for any help. This will make things much easier.

Thanks

This looks like exactly what I was trying for. I'll get it all plugged in and give it a try later this evening.

trouble

I am having trouble getting this to work within a sub-form. Any ideas?

soulpiercing,

Check out my posted filteredcomboboxes.zip sample. It should show you how to do what you want with three combo boxes.
