Hello.
I currently have an Access mdb with all sorts of forms, tables, reports, etc.
I'm considering buying the Visual Studio Tool in order to package the Access file such that it can be distributed to people who do not have Access on their machines.
I have a couple questions, though.
First, I have heard that I may need to modify the mdb in some manner in order to avoid "surprises" when distibuting the stand-alone version. I've tried to follow links that supposedly discuss the changes required and so on, but they don't seem to work. Can you provide an updated link or point me in the right direction to find more information on this issue?
Next, the current mdb has VB code that checks for a previous version in order to transfer data from the older one to the newer one. With the stand-alone version, will this work in the same manner or will I have trouble? If it means trouble, do you have suggestions as to how this issue might be handled?
Thanks, in advance. You guys have always helped me in the past, so I continue to turn back to you for assistance!
