Database Error

When trying to import a spreadsheet into Access i get the following error

Method 'CurrentDb' of object_Application' failed

However when i did the same yesterday it worked fine

anyone know why

Sorry mate, havent a clue what you just asked me to do

click the "Code" button and in the debug menu, click compile <databasename>

It Access 2000 and I can not find a code button

this brings you to the immediate window of the Visual Basic Editor, your code window

If you installed anything else between the time it last worked and the time it first failed, you broke a reference. Search this forum for "references" to see a lot more on that topic.

If no such installation occurred, but you did a Windows cleanup and were overly aggressive, or if you ran a Windows Registry Cleaner (usually a 3rd party product) that could do it too.
