Date changes to 2004!

Hi Guys,

I have a field in a table called 'BaselineDate' that requires the user to enter a date. The date can be in the past or future and is formatted thus mmm yy.

Whenever I put a date into the field, such as Oct 03 as soon as I leave the field the date changes to Oct 04 (it is always 04). What can I do to prevent this from happening? So far I have entered 250 dates in this format spanning from Jan 02 to Mar 05 and they all default to 04.

Any help will be most appreciated.

Sounds like you're trying to input non-dates into a date field. They're all being interpreted as mmm dd and that Access is assuming they're in 2004.

To Access, Oct 03 is not a date entry. Oct 1, 03 could be accepted, but not a month and year without a day.

If you reallyl want to input your dates the way you are, I think you'll have to input them as text, but I'm not an expert in this area. I'd suggest entering the full date info.
