Date field linked to a check box

In creating a form for Inventory shipping - I want to choose the check box when the item is shipped or back ordered and automatically have the date pop into a field beside the check box. What is the best way to do this?

In the On Click event of the check box, put this code and to keep from having problems, make sure that your text box name is different than the field that it is bound to.

txtMyDateTextBox = Date

you may have to go with

txtMyDateTextBox.Value = Date

Oh, I forgot to say that the word Date IS exactly what you type there and you can leave the () off of it as it will automatically remove it anyway. Replace my txtMyDateTextBox with your actual text box name.
