I've inherited a database for members who join in September for 1 year e.g 2004 but need to be renewed following september 2005. I want to calulate who has paid up within 3 months from september by dec 1st which allows them to purchase tickets for events. I also want to run queries to find who is a current member for the 'current' year, who has a lapsed membership etc., maybe to produce reports to show how membership compares over a period of time. Trouble is I dont want to have to retype a date in every new year in september. Id like to set a field that automatically resets to lapsed if unpaid after 3 months of registration date and/or also resets when the year is up. Is there an easy way to do this? How do clubs manage this task?
