date input mask

Hello Everyone

these days i am facing a problem in date field of my database form

the problem is that when i enter the date in date field, i am using to enter date as.

02/25/09 that show me result as 25-jan-09

but now i want to enter date as.

25/02/09 that would show me the result as 25-jan-09
But all in vein

Plz tell me that How is it possible?

plz reply me as soon as possible.

Dates are a real pain.
In your case the computer messed up.

entering 02/25/09 should give you 25-feb-09, not 25-jan-09.

if it is a typo, entering
25/02/09 should give you 25-feb-09
02/25/09 should give you 25-feb-09

in both cases. because a mixup is not possible. there is no 25th month, not in my calendar.
