Is it possible to group records with dates from a certain month to show the name of that month? eg 01/01/2004, 15/01/2004, 23/01/2004 as January? and so on for all the months

You can use the datepart function to retrieve the month from a date.

You might want to include year as well, otherwise you'll get January 2001, 2002, etc. all lumped together as January.
