Decimals (1 Viewer)

I have a table where I'm trying to enter numbers in decimals.

If I type 123.45 I get 123.

I tried the help feature, and think I'm doing what it says, but obviously not.

I've also tried the various options (integer, decimal, etc.) and standard, fixed, etc.

What is the proper combination of options?

Open your table in Design mode and click on the number field(s) in question. In the lower half of the screen it will say Field Size and probably Long Integer in the field to the right. Change Long Integer to Single or Double, depending on how many significant decimals you are interested in. Now you should be good to go...

Hello,

In another thread under forms, it was suggested that I try the double, and it works.

I need to review the field size types.

It all seems to be workign now. Just fine tuning left, which can be good or bad, depending on the changes I decide to make!
