Deployment: .MDE works with Office Pro not Standard

Here at work, we have upgraded from Office 2000 to Office XP (2002). We use Office XP Developer to develop our Access application. Our client PCs use Office XP Standard on WinXP SP2. Certain parts of the code work fine in the development environment and on a test PC with Office XP Professional (without Access installed, just the 2002 Access Runtime.) On the actual client PCs with Office XP Standard and the 2002 Runtime, most of the application works, but some parts are either throwing errors that are handled by the program or crashing Access all together.

Has anyone ever experienced deployment issues to Office XP Standard for an Access application? This is very daunting that it works on Office XP Pro without Access, but not on Office XP Standard. :(

Thanks for your response. Seems like I made a critical error ... I assumed *blush* I assumed our network admin upgraded the PCs to WinXP Pro with SP2, which includes ADO 2.8, which my app uses. It turns out that while he pushed out SP2 on MY new machine, the other users only got SP1. So, no SP2 = no MDAC 2.8 (because we all know the P&DW never installs it correctly.) Once I installed MDAC 2.8 on the client machines all worked fine. However, thanks for the tip on the /runtime switch.
