Difference between Shared and Embedded Picture Type?

For my database, I would like a picture as my background but I don't know if I should use embedded or shared? thoughts?

I believe starting with 2010, Access now has an Image gallery and if the picture is stored in the gallery, it is shared so you can access the same picture in other forms/reports without having to copy a new version into the DB. Saves space I guess. Embedded would be a picture only on that individual form/report.

ok thanks, makes sense. I'll play with both and see how it effects my file size
