Hi,

I've have an application where we display everything in English but sometime we would like to print reports which contains English numbers in Arabic-Hindic format. How can I accomplish this? PLEASE?
Also, I tried to conver tbut I get ??/??/???? why is this?

Thanks

This is because you cannot mix the two languages like that. You could fake it by changing the font from Western (English) to Arabic, just on those fields. Also, excuse my ignorance, but if the numbers read right to left, that may pose a problem as well. I really don't know if they do or don't.

Since this sounds like it may be common for you, you should have both versions of the font you already use (Western and Arabic).

I did change the font but this didn't work! and I have the field display from Right-to-Left.
There must be some other way?

yobi,

Are you wanting to display dates - changing them from the US vers of MM/DD/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY? Or is it more complicated than that?

If you provide more details then someone here should be able to come up with something.

Do you have any budgeting to spend a couple hundred dollars? I found a translation program for Access - but it may only do control names/text on forms, I am *NOT* 100% certain on this, but I can look up the reference I have and forward it to you if you are able to spend a little money on it. Also, there were only a few languages available, but I don't remember which ones.

rolaaus,
It's not about chaning dd/mm/yy to mm/dd/yy it's about displaying english numbers in arabic number format. "Unicode".

Excuse the ignorance again, but are we talking a one-to-one relationship as to the number of characters per number here? For example, is there one character in Arabic that is the equivalent of the number "1" in English, one character for "2", etc.? If it's more than one character, then you'll have to convert in code.

Also, what do you get when you use the other font?
