I currently have several forms that make use of the calendar control by linking it to a combobox. When the combo box is clicked the calendar displays itself. However, I am attempting to do the same in a form that uses the datasheet view. The date column has been set up as a drop down, but the calendar will not display. Before i get into code and other technical questions. Can anyone verify if control objects can be displayed in a datasheet view?

Forms can be viewed using the Datasheet view, yes.

I presume you are using Access 2007?

Still using 2003 until this may. When I code to display the hidden control and set focus to it I get an error message stating that Access can not change focus to control calendar1 ect..

You can't use a calendar control like that on a datasheet view. Datasheets use text boxes and combo boxes (list box, perhaps but not certain) and that's about it.

Which is why I asked if Access 2007 was being used. In 2007 the calendar control pops up for date fields (if you set it). Pretty nice feature SOS.

I know - but if it was 2007, that feature is turned on by default and he probably would have mentioned it. So, I assumed it was not 2007 since they had not mentioned it.
