Dlookup - How To

I have a database with classes and contacts (students). I also have an attendance table that I would like to store the attendance of classes. I would like to use DLookUp. Well at lease I think I do. The thing is - I have tried to set it up and I get an error.

The following is what I have entered in the Fiscal Year field for my DLookUp. =DLookUp([FiscalYear],[Classes],[ClassID]=" " & [ClassID])

I don't know if this is right! Please help! Also - if you know of a different way of accomplishing my goal of choosing the information for the fields based on the ClassID - I would love to hear it! I am also attaching a copy of my database so you can see what I am dealing with.

I have placed my DLookup in the attendance Form in the FiscalYear field. I have also attached the database that shows it. (I should have done that last night!)

OK but I get a Type mismatch expression error when I do this...

I don't know enough about code to know how to correct it.
