i have used dlookup before successfuly , but this time.....

i have a form called WARRANTY DETAILS from table WARRANTYDETAILS with the following fields
slno
productcondition

next

i have a form called PRODUCT INSPECTION from the table PRODUCTINSPECTION
with the following fields
slno
productcondition

what i want is if the slno of both form matches , then form WARRANTY DETAILS field PRODUCTCONDITION VALUE SHOULD BE POPULATED AS THE SAME AS IN THE FORM PRODUCT INSPECTION FIELD PRODUCTCONDITION

- create a query with both tables included.
- join the tables on slno
- add the field [WARRANTYDETAILS].[productcondition]
- update (update to) the field you just added to [PRODUCTINSPECTION].[productcondition].
- use copies of the tables, not the originals, just to be safe.
- delete [PRODUCTINSPECTION].[productcondition] - you are duplicating data unnecessarily, hence the problem.
