Hi,

is there any way to downgrade my database version using MS Access 2000?

I'm currently working a database system for my company. My company computers use Access 97.

Many a times, I have to bring my project back home to complete but I realise that I can't open my project using Access 97 in my office after I have done something back home.

My home uses Access 2000.

How??

-frustrated one-

On the Menu bar
Go to Tools - Database Utilities - Convert Database - To Prior Access Database Version....

Install 97 at home as well

The downward conversion works but it is not without problems. I have had trouble with the linked table manager (assuming you are using a split database) and the calendar controls. If you install Ac97 first and then Ac2000 in separate directories, they co-exist nicely even if Microsoft doesn't recommend it. MS does have a KB article that tells you how to do it properly. That way you won't have to do any conversions. My computer is running XP-Pro.
