Remember when Windows 7 came out? There were some things that did not work. Like printer Drivers and some older software.

The solution was to run these by changing something in the properties.

Does anyone remember how to do this exactly. I have forgotten. I am having some issues with the drivers currently running under Windows 7 but not with the new Windows 10

If you can remember please let me know.

Try this:

  1. Right click on Computer
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Yes on User Account Control
  4. Under Computer Management, System Tools, click on Device Manager
  5. Right click on the device you are concerned about
  6. Click Update Driver Software

For programs you ran them in compatibility mode.

Right Click the program and look for a Compatibility tab/option

I have found that upgrading drives to the Windows 8/8.1 version is very compatible with Windows 10.

Have you looked for Widows 8/8.1 drives?

I THINK THAT I SHALL GIVE IN.

I have a Gigabyte Mother Board. In fact it is a Gigabyte Lap Top.

It comes with a CD that has an install program to load the drivers. Things like Display, Network plus quite a few more. Also the Display will only show one screen and usually the wrong one.

I am going to put this aside for a few day and then try again. If I don't win I am going to roll back to Windows 7

And Boyd you are correct with running Windows 8.
