Hi,
We are upgrading an application from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005.
We have a few databases on a SQL 2000 server. These have DTS packages.
Our supplier apparently converted them and told us to save them onto the application server for the new version of this application. However we cannot see these DTS packages.
I understand that DTS have been replaced by SSIS in SQL 2005 but how do DTS work in SQL2000, where are they saved (the files themselves) and how are they connected to the database?
What needs done to convert these for SSIS and SQL2005?
