I use the following in a command button:-

DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, 3, , acMenuVer70

Is it possible to set a default Look In: field and Match: option?

It's very possible. Don't do it with Macros. You'd do this using an ADO or DAO connection (your choice!) from VBA. There are a bazillion examples of "Find" searches in this forum. Where is it you're stuck beyond trying to prefill Find and Match? What's the code? If it is a macro (and since you're using MenuBar and a DoCmd, I'm guessing it might be), then you cannot prefill the options.

Yes, tis a macro I'm using. Was easiest option.
Now that user wants these defaults setting I'll look at some VBA code.
BTW I only noticed squillions of examples!
But, if you know of one good thread..................
