Hi all,

Here's a solution to a problem I had been encountering. I was creating a cover letter for a mailing in Access rather than using a Word mail merge. I obtained the company logo from the Word document using a simple cut&paste, and the sample page worked great. However, when the report was opened with the OpenReport command and printed, the logo would not appear.

I then saved off the image from the Word doc, first as a bitmap, then as a .jpg. I then created an image object on the report and embedded the picture. No matter how I fussed with the size and mode parameters, I could not get anything other than a horribly blocky image.

Back to the embedded Word object. The original document is closed, and I can see the object in design and preview mode. The image is crisp and clear. There aren't any OLE object properties that jump out at me as being anything that will affect the behavior I'm seeing.

I found the solution on the right click menu. Change To | Image. For whatever reason, the formatting information (and the better scaling properties) are propagated to the image object.
