Hi team,

I’m Emmanuel Katto from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) looking to implement a search text box similar to navigation buttons in our project. I want to make it user-friendly and effective for searching through our content.

Do you have any suggestions on the best approach to create this search text box? Any tips on design, functionality, or libraries to use would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your input!

Regards
Emmanuel Katto

search the Forum, maybe you will find what you are looking for.

Do you have any functionality in mind? Here's a basic example of a search text box that responds as you type and filters the results with the added benefit of displaying an image when no results are found.

Things you could add to it are:
- Highlighting search term (attached example)
- Pagination (attached example)
- Display search results on enter instead of "as you type"
- Display search results after a quick pause
- Display search results after a certain length
- Search multiple fields from one textbox
- Search with multiple textboxes
- Search with textbox and combobox
- Adding wildcard support
- Search disregarding order of words
- So on
