Error Message - locked by another user

Just tried to open my ADP on 2 seperate computers with different user names and it said that it could only be opened for read only - or that id saved it as read only. Its a database FFS so why is it saying its been locked by someone already in it ?

It does let you in after you've OK'd it and put your SQL user and pword in but I dont want this error message coming up for every user

if its an adp project, each version can only be opened by one person, each user needs their own copy of the front end (the adp file) for the system to be multi user.
