Hi,

I have a query which suddenly get's empty and i get the following error: Query must have at least one destination field

If i open the query in design mode everything is gone and the remain is Select;

Anyone experienced this problem. It's occurs now and then related to export of data to Excel.

Is the query based on a cross-tab query?

This just happened to me in Access 2010. I exported a query to excel as xlsx. I meant to export it as a v 97 .xls so I went back to do that and got this error message, and my query is wiped out. That Sucks!

And yes, the query that got wiped out essentially subtracts values in one crosstab query from another crosstab query, for what that is worth. Actually there is another nested query in the chain of things between the cross tab and the final subtraction query that sums up some of the values in the the different crosstabs.

My, Goodness, I have not communicated about access and query language like this in a while so I hope this makes sense to those in this group.
