Could anyone point me in the right direction with this please?

I'm looking at creating an event calendar form, where as I can type in the date of the event, the time, whether it is all day, or specify the start and finish time of the event, and whatever I enter, it checks current events and compares times and such to see if they will overlap or not? What sort of table structure would I need?

I'd also like another form to show this information in a calendar layout.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

Here's something I usually refer people to and have had a number of them post back that it helped them with this type of app. It's been out there for quite a while, and apparently is good enough that a "professional" version is now for sale, one that includes payroll functions and so forth. But the earlier versions are still free to all and I think it'll do for you. When downloading the zip file, I would recommend doing it into its own folder. When you unzip it you'll actually get 3 or 4 databases (slightly different versions, including one set up for multiple users) and a "read me" file, which, if unzipped into an occupied folder, will be scattered all over the place; you might miss the actual one you need.

Good Luck!

Heya, thanks for that. Will have a look through and see What I can use from it. Does most of the stuff that i'm after, although it doesn't check the times and such but the design is great. Also it logs february as having 31 days as with every month. haha

Thanks for the response though, great help, just what I was after :)
