every year need code

I would want to make the db so each year it asks one code

example
code are in effect from 1/1//2005 until 31/12/2005
afterwards it asks from the user new code in order to open db from 1/1/2006 until 31/12/2006

Noni,

I'm at a little bit of a loss to understand your question. Why
would you want to open a different database for each year?

You can always use check the current year when you open Access and
restrict the records displayed accordingly.

i want every year database need one differrent code to open

example
1/1/2005 the code is 121 to open db
that code is active 31/12/2005

1/1/2006 the active code is 222 to open db

i want a passcode based on the year of each record.
i.e. If they enter one passcode, it allows them to see anything for 2003, but need to enter a different passcode for 2004.
