Okay, I can't seem to figure out how to pull this off and I've used publish to Word and Mail Merge before, but neither seem to provide a good answer...

The issue is getting 32 Data Rollup Queries, which provides sums and counts of various different types of assets, into the same word document, following the TitlePage and the Individual Asset Headers. The only element that "joins" these assets are the owning subsidiaries, although the information is queried using this, it is not displayed.

OPTION ISSUES
1) Publishing to Word: If the subreports = No Data then I want the words, "No Data Provided" to appear on the Parent report. This looks okay in access, but gets all screwy in Word.

2) I can publish Queries directly to Word and the formatting remains, but I'm not able to control where in Word items apprear. If I use bookmarks, then I can't figure out how to pass the entire query, it seems to only allow individual fields to be passed.

So, I want to:
Dim DRrst As DAO.Recordset
...
oApp.ActiveDocument.Bookmarks(strHeader).Select
Selection.Text = DRrst
...

Any ideas?

Well i can say this, if your going to be using bookmarks you will need to address bookmark by bookmark in your code to fill it field by field/ value by value.

It is not that hard, but a lot of typing.

Trying to avoid field by field approach

That's why I was asking whether I could just dump an entire query into a bookmark. If you can pass fields, then why can I not pass an object. I mean..I can publish individually to Word, so why can't I publish my Queries into a Word template at the bookmarks. It's just like publishing, except that I don't want individual documents. :(

Thats M$ for you... sorry not much i can do about that ...
