Extracting Digits from a formatted number field

I have a formatted number field which is 7 numbers long

I need to extract each single number into separate fields on a report.

Any ideas how to do this?

I think you should be able to use left and mid functions as datasources for the fields. For example for field1=left(lngfield,1) which takes the leftmost character of the field. Then use field2=left(mid(lngfield,2),1) and field3=left(mid(lngfield,3),1)....you get the pattern
