Hi Everyone,
I am really grateful to have found a Microsoft Access Forum. I am 60 years old and have always struggled with the world of computerisation! To give you an idea of where I come from, when I first arrived at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, I ordered a calculator by Mail Order! You could not source a calculator at a retail store in those days. In the lecture theatre, a number of students peered over my shoulder to look at my new acquisition and were amazed that it had a memory.
So I will need all the help I can get. I am fairly good at Microsoft Excel but alas my understanding of Access is to put it bluntly pathetic. I have been on a course. I bought Microsoft for Dummies and yet have still not been able to come to grips with this software. Conclusion? My level of understanding is below that of the Dummy brigade!
.
I have a degree B.BSc Building Science at UCT. Have been in Property Development ever since. rioght now though I have been tasked with the operation of an Importer of electronic goods. So I have downloaded a tempate to assist me and I need to edit one or two of the forms.
So thats about it for now. I look forward to interacting with members of this forum. Hopefully I will gain sufficient knowledge to be able to assist a "new boy" on the block some time in the future. I fear it will be a long time though.
Cheers for now.
Farrell
