File Path

Hi,

i found a sample database in this forum that can open the "open" dialog to chose a file and open it. what i am trying to do is to get the path of the file i selected and put the path in a text box. anyone can help me on that?

If you're just wishing to strip off the filename, something like

myDirectory = Mid$(myFilePath, 1, InStrRev(myFilePath, "\") -1)

If you want it to select only the directory, check out http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0002.htm
