Hello Experts,

I want to use MS Access for scanning labels, and in the process I want some checks to be done.
The reff field represents the part number on the master label (which is scanned one time per pallet) and the scan field contains the labels for each part number( so one pallet has one master label and contains 30 part numbers each one with own label).
Using calculated filed I was able to extract the information from the 2 fields which has to be the same (from reff to reff_1 and from scan to Field 2).
My purpose is to check that the dates in reff_1 and Field2 are the same ( to check that the part number from the master label correspond with the part number on each 30 "small" labels ).
But, as the master label is scan just once per pallet, I need that in field reff_1 the empty spaces between scanning 2 master labels to be filled with the above value( so in my example rows 181-184 should be filled in reff_1 field with 059 129 711 EB, rows 186-187 with 059 129 711 EC, etc...).
Upon the comparison, if the field are different an error message should be displayed,

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you

If there are only a small number of empty fields to populate with the previous value, clicking ctrl + ' (apostrophe) will do exactly that.
If there are too many for that to be practical, there are various solutions. Start by looking in the similar threads at the bottom of the page or do a forum search as this question also came up recently

Thanks @MajP. That was probably what I was thinking of when I said it came up recently.
Suggest we move your thread to the code repository. Let me know if you're happy with doing that.
