filtered form and append qry? HELP!

I HAVE AN APPEND QRY WHICH I CAN USE AS A FILTER ON OPENING A FORM...HOWEVER IT DOES'NT APPEND THE TABLE AT THE SAME TIME!!
AGHHHHH!
IT CONTAINS USER ENTERED PARAMETERS SO I DONT WANT IT TO RUN TWICE ....ONCE FOR THE FILTER AND ONCE FOR THE APPEND...
SO HOW DO I DO IT?

Though I am not clear on what it is you are trying to do, there should be no problem in storing the user entered values in public variables, then running the append query. Once this is done you can use the OpenForm method of DoCmd and pass the variable values. Alternatively you can open the form then use SelectObject and ApplyFilter (also methods of DoCmd).
