Hello All,

I'm a newbie here and new to MS Access.

I've inherited a 2007 Access file which opens with a switchboard by default with no visible Navigation Pane.

I've tried going to File -> Options -> Current Database -> and the 'Display Navigation Pane' is checked. After clicking the 'Navigation Options...' button I've made sure the 'Show Hidden Objects' is checked and still nothing.

I want to view the tables so I can export the data and start fresh in a Access 2010 file.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

Try opening the db by holding down the shift key and the enter key simoultaneously.

alan,

just tried it.....no dice ;/

any other suggestion?

thx!

My immediate thought keep that shift key down until it's open don't be tempted to let go until you are sure it's open.

And if there's is a password to get in you need to hold the shift key down after you have input the password and when you click ok to enter the password.

(I've been caught out by not holding it down for long enough)

If it hasn't been disabled (Use Access Special Keys checkbox is still checked in the startup options) you can just hit F11.
