Hello All, greetings from Chicago. First time on the board.
Hopefully this is an easy one.
I need to create a tabbed form where each tab will house a form containing a subform. The subform will be a datasheet view. I know I need to create this form (with the subform) separately. What I want to do is have the same query feed both the form and subform so that when I go to the next record in the subform view, it also reflects on the top view of the form. (Most of my forms are in split form view and when I link up one of the split forms to a tab, the bottom "datasheet view" isn't visible.) I need to have that datasheet view in the tabs.....all I've been able to accomplish when defining field links, is being able to see the datasheet.....but when I highlight one of the records in the datasheet view, that record doesn't reflect above. It pretty much stays on the first record. I could highlight the 19th record below, but above it will still be on the 1st record.
It would be cool if split forms were visible, with both top and datasheet views, in a subform.
Help.
(I attached an image where its obvious the record on the bottom is not matching record on top)
