Has anyone got any sample DB's that use a 'Control Panel' for allowing the user of a DB to change certain features?

I want to introduce a form that will allow them to enable and disable certain buttons and textboxes on other forms. Later, when I've got more time, I want them to be able to choose custon form colors and text colours from this form. The form will be username and password protected (I know how to do this bit).

I'm going to keep searching, but I'd be grateful for any feedback you have.

TIA

Should be possible. Just use the form to store data in a table for each user. Then when u open the particular form u want to change colours/enable buttons etc on, look up the settings in the table.

Hello dgm,

Thanks for your reply. I'm thinking of storing a global varible when certain check boxes are true/false on the control panel.
The reason for this is that my application will not be a user logon app. I want all users to have similar function, but where certain uttons are not for all, just ask for an administrator password.

Thanks again.
