form dont let me enter more records

I have a bound form that uses a query to get data from 2 tables, it had worked fine, but today I was going to enter record # 400 and it wont accept it. It lets me modify the old ones, but when I want to create a new one, the text fields dont accept new data, they keep blank. I press a key, and nothing shows in the textfields. they dont look grayed out, they just dont accept any input
Any suggestions? thank you

Never mind. The problem was that the "creation" of the key had to be done in another form. The normal flow of events have you do that. This record was "special" in that it did not need to be entered using that other form. Sorry guys, I did not created this d.b. and I dont know yet all its ways.
