Form takes too long to open

Hi, need help with form that takes too long to open when you first open the form before entering data. I think there maybe something wrong but do not know. Form is basic and just has 3 unbound text boxes to enter data and a list box provides the data associated with the info entered into text boxes. The form looks to a query where the query has linked tables. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

How long does it take to open the query?

The form load time is probably mostly the time to execute the query. If you can add some indexes on the tables it might speed things up. If the tables are linked to spreadsheets there may not be anything you can do.

The form looks to a query where the query has linked tables.

You used a plural, and I will take you at your word. How many tables are involved in the one query?

Second, what kind of JOIN is involved between/among the tables?

Third, how did you build the JOINs (assuming you have any) - wizards or by hand?
