Not sure if what i am asking is totally clear, but it seems it could be done but i just dont know how...

I have a form to which i add initial data, from that form i have a link to another form which enturns goes to a report. what i would like to do is

from the initial form i would like it to open the same data on the linked form..

that sounds confusing....

let me see if i can simplify:

on my initial form,,, i enter basic information (its easier for me this way for report reasons),,, i have a command button on the form to open another form that i enter more specific data. when i click that command button it opens the form but it is on the first record and i have to scroll or seach for the data,,,,,, is there anyway that i can have that second form open on the data that i just entered?????

i hope this is clear for you experts out there........ let me know if i can help more .......

thanks

You should use a subform on your main form so you can join & show the corresponding data from main form to subform. However, this requires a common field between the two data sets.
