Form with multiple combo boxes for search

My form has 2 combo boxes that I use to search through the related fields, one is for race, one is for skin tone. I need to select a item from each combo box before I can get it to show the results though. If I wanted to have both combo boxes but not neccessarily have to use both of them for the search ( say I wanted to find all the people with a medium skin tone but didn't want to specify the race) what would I have to do. I'm pretty bad with using the codes and after update stuff so I'm just hoping the answer is easier than going that route. Thanks.

I would use a union query and a bit of code. Very difficult to explain, but once shown, it all comes clear. Can you post a cut down version of your Db and we will have a look.
