Form Won't Close

I have a form that simply will not close. When I hit the close button for the form, it stay put, when I hit the close button for the database, it stays put, and when I try to go to the code in design view, it does nothing. I've tried a compact and repair, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Also, when I do close the database by using the Task Manager, the .ldb file doesn't disappear; it continues to show. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Without opening your database use Explorer to find the file and if the .ldb file is there then delete it. Now try your db. If the form still does not respond you may need to delete it completely and create a new one.
