Forms entry problem

I have a form with customer information and a subform with customer detail. I scroll thru the customer info using the scroll keys at the bottom, entering detail for each customer. After about 3 or 4 customers, the detail fields stop accepting entry. I can tab thru the fields and click on the fields but characters will not appear in the box. I have updated Office 2000 with Service Packs 1 and 2. I have also recreated the same problem on a different computer. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I think that you might have a problem with your table structure. You should have two tables, one for CustomerInformation (the one side of the relationship) and a CustomerDetail table (the many side of the relationship). CustomerDetails table should have a an autonumber primary key but should also have a CustomerInfo number field. That is the link between the two tables in the relationship window. Without this structure you won't be able to add data to the CustomerDetail table from a Form/Subform.
