Hello again
the code I input into the macro where condition doesn't work properly, I just end up opening a blank form. is this because it doesn't recognise my refernce to the primary key in the listbox (because this primary key actually originates from a query), or is it beacuse my list box is unbound?

I would love to be able to use the code you gave me, and have tried, but am so unfamiliar with the syntax for Access that I seem to be making errors (not sure where all my [," and & mean and are supposed to be! It doesnt recognise =, not sure why.

may have to face facts that I am crap at Access, can you help me please..

after you set the link criteria that should show you what your statement is producing, what your after is something like this
[YourFieldName]='KeyValueOfList'

Hope this helps
