get distinct rows...join query

hi

i have 2 tables... both having dt as date field... One table contains dates in repeated form while the other table have date entry as a single row.. ie no duplication... I need help on the query which will give me the dates which are not present in the table 1 ie the table which have date duplication..

Actually What I need is a MINUS query... which will give me the dates which are not available in another table.. simpplyy... working on sql after a gap of 7-8 yrs... so forgot the keyword... MINUS..
