Getting Errors filtering subforms

I currently have a form with two subforms. You select a customer and the first subform filters all their invoices and the second subform filters all their late fees. This form is used to apply payments as they come in. So, I have a field where you type the check amount and a field that tells you what the amount remaining is (checkamount - (amount applied to invoices + amount applied to latefees)).

My problem is when I select a customer and someone does not have any late fees, the amount remaining field says #Error. I can't figure out how to get it to not create the error.

Side Note: I have the main form grab the total amout applied from both subforms and then put them into the equation above.

I would appreciate any suggestions, if you need any clarification, please let me know.

Null Value

What you are describing is a situation where the one field ends up with a null value and therefor the math will not work

Youhave to find a way to convert the nulls to 0's.
