Hi all,
I asked before this too,
It is possible to place a GIF file on a form which not lost its animation, without using external file (DLL, OCX file)?
Thanks

Not in the standard edition of Access. You need to use a graphic filter. For details goto Access Help and enter Graphic Filters then select Graphic Fileters Microsoft Access can use.

Re. Gif

Thanx for replying,
I searched, but nothing useful there. could u plz attach an example which have GIF picture on the form.

thanx again for replying,
you are right about the link, but it uses an external file (Gif89.dll), but what I want to use GIF pictures without any external file, is it possible? i f yes, HOW?
Thanks

Your choices are to use an external file or use the advice given in the Access Help file I steered you to originally:

Graphics file formats requiring separate graphics filters
cgm, pcd, cdr, pct, eps, pcx, fpx, png, gif, tif, wpg, jpg, xbm

The separate graphics filters are not supplied with the stand-alone version of Microsoft Access 2000. To use the filters, you need to install Microsoft Office 2000 Professional Edition, Microsoft Office 2000 Premier Edition, or a stand-alone version of Microsoft Word 2000 along with your stand-alone version of Access 2000.

Note For more information on each separate graphics filter, see your Word documentation.

I dont want to use external file, like (Gif89.dll), because if I use external file, then when we want to distribute the Access file we should register the external file too, and it is a problem, maybe some users dont have administrative control.

Here's a clue; this thread has been viewed over 80 times! If anyone else had an answer they'd have posted it! The fact is that you've received the only answers that will work! That it isn't the answers you wanted doesn't change this fact!
