grey/disable fields

quick question... i have a form with a "Save" button. i wanna disable/grey all the fields when user push the button, so they will not be able to make change... please help.

The first thing that comes to mind is to close your form (data entry form) and open another form set to allow edits = no when they click the button.

You can use the Me.AllowEdits = False command but what if the user really needs to edit a record if they need to correct or edit the saved record.
